MENDED HEART

A time to reflect the beginning of an untamed soul
Look into a mirror
Tell me who's in control
Life draws endings closer for a heart worth much more
Falling apart seems the answer of a charitable curse

Breaking down again
A brand new sin
Questions seem to wonder
Only making things worse

Thinking back a long long time
To an unbroken heart
Listening and hoping
Loving and believing

But then things got so hard
And grew so far apart
Like a child lost without a way to fly
Like a vision of easy ways
Someone counting stormy days
While others sit around just to wonder why...

Such a broken insecure time of relentless changes
Bringing the best
Put us through some tests
So much time lost
And so many more empty places
Thinking back to a time of a heart unbroken

Boy turns to Man
Girl turns to woman
But we all live in a time before the past
Not our chosen flight

When things gone so astray
Speaking without words to say
Just another way to decline love questions
So much more than lost
Or as alone as ever known

Never tears to cry
Hurting just to fry
Forever and through it all
I watched
The light sitting all alone

In the past of the unbroken heart
Where dreams may come to live
Emptiness could fade
Tears would wash away

The unbroken heart seems so much more to give
Bringing down the color of a million faces lost
Breaking without reason
Could not hold on
Lost in heavens sequel ignoring all love

The unbroken heart is born so true
To rise...
While the mended heart lives on

THE WILD BIRD

In the land of singing life
Away from the clutches of Men
Hidden in the foliage of the old oak
In the long nest on a big branch
In the family of golden feathers
 Lives the wild bird.

With every dawn, fluttered the wings
And it flew higher and higher
 Perhaps to conquer the skies
To squeak, to rule and to survive.

 Oh! The wild bird
Fly as high as you can
Eat as much as you can
For in the great day of light
You will shine your golden feathers
With every dusk, calmed the wings
As it floated down to its super nest
Perhaps to surrender is a big question
But to sing, to love and to live

 O! The wild bird
 Huddled you play with beaks
In the great colors of love

Shines your little nest of gold.

THE SHEPHERD

On the country roads I walked

Through days and nights to reach my destination

On that lovely day of spring

Goading her herd

 I came across a figure

She knew her sheep by its name

And they all knew her love

I joined her and we walked along

We talked and soon I knew her too

On warm shiny days

In cold starry nights

Side by side we paced

With ever rising emotions

I goaded her soft heart

And she smiled and she giggled

Ah! Those restrained laughs

Under different shades of divinity

Thus, we walked together

 Away from all roads

 Life itself was the destination

 Soon came a crossroad

 My destination appeared again

I had to get onto the road again

The road to my destination

She continued goading her herd

I looked at her and smiled

With wet eyes came back a smile

Something had been stirred up

Something so hardly understood.

THE VULTURES

Dark night, few lights on the roads

Roars and squeals of monsters

Trampling the roads and rushing

Carrying the carriers of evil

Those Vultures in human flesh

From one crime to another

On the chest of sleeping city

Thus, hover the Vultures

On a deserted corner on crossroads

Leaning against the wall

The wall of high rise

Gazing with bewildered and charmed eyes

Near a curled up sleeping dog

There sits the boy

Yearning to ride those monsters

Dreaming to rule the city

Ready to be a carrier of evil

Fully charmed and lost

He just wait his turn

Soon he may ride one

Soon he may knock on the door

Maybe mine maybe yours

Or the Vulture who has lost its reign of evil

Who is spared when the sky is dark

This is not a game to be played

Under this black melancholic sky

Amid the cruel laughter of Vultures

Leaving behind our children on their mercy

Until the day that we breathe our last.

MY BROWN EYES

My brown eyes can’t see because of tears

A broken heart

From a world I can’t see.

My brown eyes looked down and scared out

Because my world is nearly gone

My brown eyes, once filled with dreams

Are now only seeing nightmares.

My brown eyes had once a feeling

Hopes and visions

A thousand reasons to feel appreciated

THAT MOMENT

Where shall we meet again?

Shall we meet again?

Will we ever see again

Full of thoughts, which were of her

In the Cold day and Dark night

I was going back to the same place

The street was narrow and dark

Full of undulations of light, and of ground

I stumbled, I fumbled

But I just kept on going…

The thoughts were coming and going

Suddenly some fragrance filled me

A draft of breeze carried it to me

It reappeared before me

And disappeared with everything else

The street was filled with sparkles

With fragrance and shine

My moon has descended

Gone with the cold darkness

Gone with my thoughts

The world bid our endless worth

I, lost in the fragrant shine

And drenched on body and soul

In a trice, in a trance, I cuddled it

And was filled with its warm softness

Thus, came that Moment

A promising moment it was.,

Full of devoid of everything else

Soon it passed and we parted

The world appeared again

Throwing at me its harshness

In the garden of my heart

Full of its fragrant softness

To remain there on a rose petal

Against the winds of time

That moment…

Will forever see a heart’s eye.

LOVE THOUGHTS

Do you want to be the girl?
That he’s so scared to loose
The one he can’t walk away from
Even if you bow to truce

Do you want to be the girl?
One whom he cannot fall asleep for
Without your voice being the last one
 He hears to be strong

Do you want to the girl?
The one he cannot live without
Who can be so stressed out?
And still smile around

Do you want to be the girl?
With whom he shares his jokes
Who stands in the rain for you
In light and in dark

Do you want to be the girl?
Whom he never fails to share his love
Amidst difficult times
In heat and in cold

Do you want to be the girl?
Whose days he wills to brighten
So many enchanted kisses
All numbered in pieces

Do you want to be girl?
That he showers up with roses
Of different special colors
In bunch and in doses

Do you want to be girl?
He shows up to his mummy
Presenting you as his treasure
His sugar and his bunny

BLESSED

When truth was lost and hearts were frozen

From you, Ya Allah sent a prophet, Chosen

Blessed Prophet Muhammad, Obedient to you

Taught us the right thing that we fought to do.

We seek Allah’s protection from shaitan’s evil mind

And begin with the name of Allah, most merciful, most kind

Allah is Great! And this I know

For the Holy Quran tells me so

All of us and all of things, to him we belong

We are always weak but he is strong.

LOVE LESSONS

       I gave you sweet love

        You gave tasty love

        I gave you my heart

        You gave me your mind

        I slept with your thoughts

        You slept with my words

I used my arms bare on

You tried yours with gloves on

        Memories I do cherish

        Sweet times you do ignore

        I love you endlessly

        You love me unpredictably

        I apologize with instant passion

        You admit with utmost fairness

        My love how dearly

        Must I set to see…

        Expressions of an emotional heart

        I always remember the sweetness

        You always replace with bitterness

I emptied my heart’s space for you

You pushed more vacant space in

        Whenever I quote jealous

        You mistook it with envy

        My love how nearly...

        Must i set to wait!

        For, when I wait…

        I can wait forever.

THE SIGHT

I see flashlights on the mountains

I see reflections in the sea

I looked beyond what I had seen

An obstinate medieval twist

I walked by right and in sight

traveled on gravels with fragile stone colors

A thousand drums echoed

A brilliant sight evolved

A million stones waiver

I trailed…

And I wonder…

I quiver just to figure

The sight is indeed seen.

RAINDROPS

A Journey through flowers
A Journey through stones
The cheers…
The cries…

The mountain so cold
The rain turns to tears
And tears I do see
Dripping as you blink

Raindrops and teardrops
The birds flew so higher
With one drop from a distance
It weakens a roaring fire

With a farewell from a raindrop
Is a welcome to the teardrop
Beyond all our fairness
The raindrop awareness
