NATURE'S WAYS

Amongst many green trees,
There lived a dried sulking tree;
Too fragile…
Now, having only woody branches and no leaves.
But, was the tallest of all that heaves.
No leaves, no shade…
Cynics thought, it would soon fade.
Whilst years and years it stayed,
None cared why it swayed…!
Of remorse or happiness, I don’t know,
But all the time, I see it bow…
The sparrow chirp on its top, the very top!
And I hear the tiny tots telling their tales to the ‘woody’
tree, with a hop and a hop.
Whilst years and years it stayed,
But none cared why it swayed…!
The tallest of all, sans leaves, sans shade,
The chirping wouldn’t let it die in facade.
They perched for a while looking at the setting sun,
And sang till their heartbeats spun.
Whilst years and years it stayed,
Still… none cared why it swayed…!
Now, I ponder why thee, still… happily sway…?!
Alas! I hear the answer…,
“The nature has its own WAY…”
P.S. –
The tree is old…like the Old Man,
Wise but weak…
To all those cryptic stanzas,
the answer lies in the previous line,
That you seek…
